What is infrared warmth?

A gentle, invisible warmth that works by warming your body directly, kind of like sunlight. Instead of heating the air around you, it warms your body directly. With our built-in SmartWarm safety system, you can enjoy that warmth knowing you're always cosy, comfortable and safe.

Can I control the temperature?

Yes, the Luun has two separate warmth zones, each with its own setting. Your body zone ranges from 25 to 36°C and your feet zone goes up to 40°C, so cold feet can get a little extra while the rest of you stays comfortably warm. Set it just the way you like, slip under the covers and let the warmth do the rest.

How do I use the Luun?

Lay Luun flat on your mattress with the feet zone at the foot end, and secure it with the corner straps. Then pull your fitted sheet over the top and make your bed as usual, so Luun sits between your mattress and your sheet. Plug it in, choose your warmth for body and feet, and switch it on a little before bedtime to climb into a bed that is already warm.

Is Luun safe to sleep on?

Yes, Luun is designed with multiple safety features to provide warmth while you sleep. It operates on a 24V low-voltage system and automatically reduces its temperature by 2°C after 45 minutes. Each heating zone has independent overheating protection, and Luun switches off immediately if the controller is disconnected. For additional peace of mind, it also switches off automatically after a maximum of 12 hours. Luun is SGS-certified and tested against European standards.

I was Bought a homely (looks like a hot…

I was Bought a homely (looks like a hot water bottle) for a gift and thought that my normal phone charger would charge the bottle.
But it’s not made clear on purchase that it does need a 30watt charger.
And most phone chargers are not suitable for this and it doesn’t charge it..
It’s a Bit disappointing that I had to buy the charger separately, you would have thought that it was all included.

It’s a beautiful product I’m very happy I spent a little more. Only thing I’d say the instructions are a bit unhelpful. The on off button doesn’t say on or off. And it’s not clear where button that switches the heat settings it.

My big hug has been a really useful way of keeping heating costs down and keeping me warm. It’s a really well-made product. and the teddy fabric is holding up well. If I had one piece of feedback, it would be to provide variable warmth between the cushion section and the back section. I would love to be able to switch off the cushion section and keep the back section warm because it can get uncomfortably hot very quickly

FAQ's

How quickly does Luun warm up?

Luun starts warming up immediately. After 20 minutes, both zones reach 35°C and your sheets are comfortably warm. Simply switch Luun on while you wind down, then slip into a warm bed.

Does Luun have a battery?

No. Most Stoov products are cordless and battery operated, but as Luun is designed for bed, ir runs on a 24V power supply. Plug it into a wall socket near your bed and the 3 m cable reaches Luun at the head end. No charging, no batteries, just a warm bed every night.

Which mattresses does Luun fit?

Luun is 195 × 85 cm, made for one person. It fits a single mattress of 80 or 90 cm wide or one side of a double bed and the adjustable corner straps fit mattresses up to 40 cm thick. Lay Luun on your mattress, or on top of your mattress protector, with your fitted sheet over the top of it.

Can I use Luun on a double bed?

Luun is designed for individual use, so one Luun is suitable for one person. If your partner wants  Luuns warmth as well, we recommend getting two Luuns. This allows you both to adjust the warmth to your own preferences. Place the two Luuns side by side, each with its own controller. Secure the red straps to the outer edges of your mattress and leave the middle straps loose. Luun's grippy fabric and your fitted sheet will help keep everything in place.

Can I wash it?

Yes, the cover is washable. Unzip the cover and machine wash it at 30°C on a gentle cycle, so Luun stays clean and fresh. Inside is a soft foam layer that contains the warming wire. Don't wash the tech inner, but you need to you can wipe it down with a damp sponge. Do not tumble dry or iron Luun.

Will the light on the controller keep me awake?

No. Hold the on/off button for 5 seconds and you can dim the light to the brightness you want. A soft glow made for a dark bedroom. This also works when you would like to adjust it during the cosy night.

Who is Luun suitable for?

Luun is made for adults. If you have a pacemaker or are pregnant, ask your doctor before using Luun. Don't use Luun if you have a metal medical implant, if you have reduced sensitivity to warmth, for example due to diabetes or nerve damage, if you have a fever, or after alcohol or sleep medication. Luun is not suitable for anyone who can't react to heat or use the controls themselves. Children under 3 should not use it, and older children only under supervision, on the lowest setting. If you have sensitive skin, begin using Luun on the lowest setting.
